Preserving Culture, Uniting Communities
"To preserve, promote, and perpetuate Hakka culture and heritage through a network of cooperation and support."[cite: 2]
Who We Are
The Toronto Hakka Heritage Alliance (THHA) is a network of Hakka organizations in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding regions[cite: 2]. Our member associations represent Hakka diasporas from around the world, including India, Jamaica, Mauritius, Trinidad, China, and beyond[cite: 2].
Formed in August 2013 following the 2012 Toronto Hakka Conference, THHA was established to build unity, friendship, and ongoing cultural preservation across diverse Hakka communities[cite: 2]. The Alliance was formally incorporated on September 1, 2015[cite: 2].
Core Objectives
The Alliance acts as a supportive network for Hakka communities without duplicating the distinct missions of its individual member organizations[cite: 2].
